This Privacy Policy explains how Ordify Live Order Edit ("Ordify", "the App", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you install and use the App. Ordify lets buyers make small changes to their own Shopify orders after checkout, such as switching a size or color or correcting the shipping address, within the rules set by the merchant.

Information We Collect

To provide the Service, we may collect and process the following information:

  • Store information, including your Shopify shop domain, timezone, language, plan, billing status, and access token provided by Shopify.
  • Order information, including products, variants, prices, discounts, inventory, shipping address, and fulfillment status, required to check and apply order edits.
  • Customer information, such as customer name, email address, phone number, and shipping address on the order being edited.
  • Edit history, including what was changed on each order, the values before and after the change, and whether the edit was allowed.
  • App settings, including edit rules, buyer-facing text, and the email address for edit notifications configured by the merchant.
  • Diagnostic information, such as application logs and error reports, to maintain service reliability and provide support.

We do not collect or store payment card details.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information only to:

  • Check whether an order edit is allowed under the merchant's rules.
  • Apply edits confirmed by the buyer to their Shopify order.
  • Show the merchant a history of order edits.
  • Send edit notification emails to the merchant, when enabled.
  • Calculate app usage for billing.
  • Provide customer support and resolve technical issues.
  • Improve the security, stability, and performance of the App.

Orders are only changed when the buyer confirms the edit, and buyers can only edit their own orders.

We do not sell personal information or use merchant or customer data for advertising or product recommendations.

Data Sharing

We share information only when necessary to operate the Service, including:

  • Shopify.
  • Infrastructure providers that host and secure the App.
  • Email delivery providers that send edit notifications to the merchant.
  • Government authorities where disclosure is required by applicable law.

Data Retention

We retain merchant data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service or comply with legal obligations. Edit history is kept while the App is installed. When the App is uninstalled, data is deleted in accordance with Shopify's privacy compliance requirements and applicable laws.

Changes already applied to orders remain in Shopify and are managed by the merchant.

Shopify Privacy Compliance

Ordify supports Shopify's required privacy webhooks, including shop redaction, customer redaction, and customer data requests. We process these requests in accordance with Shopify's requirements and applicable privacy regulations.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Data is transmitted over secure connections, and access to merchant information is restricted to authorized systems and personnel.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date on this page.
