Get started with Advanced Order Editing

Let customers fix their own orders after checkout, within rules you set. Four steps to go live.

Advanced Order Editing lets customers correct their own orders after checkout. They can change the shipping address or switch a product to another size or color. You decide which orders can be edited, what can change and for how long.

The Home page has a setup guide with the same four steps.

Step 1: Create a rule that allows edits

Customers cannot edit any order until a rule allows it. Go to Rules, click Create rule and choose From template. Allow edits for 30 minutes and hold fulfillment is a good starting point. See Rules.

Step 2: Add the edit button to your store

Add the Thank you page block in the checkout and accounts editor. The Edit order action on the order page in customer accounts appears automatically. See Add the edit button to your store.

Step 3: Choose a plan

Start the 14-day free trial on Plans. See Billing.

Step 4: Edit a test order

Place a test order, open it from the customer account, click Edit order and change the address or a size. The edit shows up on Edits.
